Privacy Policy

This policy describes how MyTailorBook ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website and apps. We follow widely recognised privacy principles and aim to comply with applicable data-protection and privacy laws in the regions where we operate and where our users are located.

Free (local) tier. Customer data you enter may be stored on your device (for example in the browser). We do not receive that data unless you later use a cloud feature that explicitly sends it to our servers.

Cloud tier (when available). We will publish a clear summary of what is stored, why, retention, and your rights before you connect a paying or synced account.

Contact and complaints. For privacy questions, use the details on the Contact page. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection or privacy regulator.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. What may be stored or sent depends on your choices in the on-site cookie banner and how your browser is configured.

Strictly necessary (typical examples). We store your consent choice in localStorage so we do not ask on every visit. We store display theme (light / dark) in localStorage. Your tailoring records are saved first on this device (localStorage for customers and measurements; photos may use IndexedDB), then synced to our cloud database (Supabase) when you are online and signed in. That operational data is not used for ads.

Optional analytics (only if you accept). If you choose "Accept analytics", we may load:

  • Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (hosted by our deployment provider) for aggregate traffic and performance (for example page views and load times).
  • Microsoft Clarity, a behavioural analytics product from Microsoft that can use cookies or similar storage to link page views into sessions. Clarity may produce session replays, heatmaps, and related insights so we can see how the site is used in practice. It is not used to sell your data to advertisers. Microsoft processes this data as described in their documentation; see Microsoft Clarity on your website and Microsoft's general privacy statement for how they handle personal data.

If you choose "Essential only", these analytics scripts do not load and we signal denied analytics storage to any tool that was already initialised.

Changing your mind. Use in the footer on marketing pages, or open Settings in the app — you can switch between essential-only and analytics at any time. Clearing browser storage removes your saved choice; we may show the banner again on the next visit, and analytics will stay off until you opt in again.
